Question 1:

The role of theory in the social sciences in research is important and varied. Theory has been assigned a central role in all the social science research process. It is said that the best for a good practice is a good theory. The central role of the theory has contributed much positivism and logical positivism. The role that theory has played in research is a reflection of the role that has been assigned to the general theory in the social sciences (Babbie, 2009). Regarding the theory, it is said that to deny their relationship with research is necessary and indissoluble

A theoretical framework built around the notion of social transaction has played several roles in the planning and implementation this research. The issue of any investigation, although centered research problem, not only the definition comprises more or less precise questions for which the researcher seeks answers in reality but also, primarily, by the assumptions or estimates theoretical and methodological constraints in some sense of these questions and by the a priori hypothesis or answers or unconfirmed that the researcher holds for such questions (Babbie, 2009). 

Question 3:

Nominal - The age of Alicia is 1 and age of Marty is 2, where 1=20, 2=40.

Ordinal - Alicia is twenty years younger than Marty, as the age of Alicia is A and age of Marty is B, where A>19 and B>39

Interval - The ages of Alicia and Marty ranges from 20 to 40 years

Ratio - The age of Marty is twice as of the age of Alicia

To identify the main elements of public leadership. (Inductive reasoning )

To study the factors on which public leadership is evaluated by a common man. (Deductive reasoning)

To recognize the traits that are required to become a public leader. (Inductive reasoning)

Question 5:

The IUP guidelines completely conform to the ethical guidelines as discussed in the chapter 3 of the Babbie text. Informed consent seeks to protect the research participant. Participants are not only those that subject to investigation but all committed to the project in their dignity, their rights and welfare.  The ethical is not equal to the legal. But when making laws that combine with ethics, the way forward does not create conflicts or dilemmas. Social science ethics seeks the good of the participants and protects their rights. The informed consent covers all the aspects of
