A single parent is someone who cares for their children without expecting any aid from another person. Raising a child could be very challenging for a single individual, but it furthermore gives diverse benefits. Single parents are able to communicate and manage with their children in a better way. Running the families solely, they strengthen up their parenting skills. With the rising numbers of parental end marriage and children born out of wedlock, expanding number of children are experiencing living in a single-parent household.

Factors Influencing the Development of Children

There are numerous components that leverage the development of children dwelling with lone parent. These include occupation, earnings, parent's mind-set and demeanor, contact with the other parent, discrimination, learning, parent's age and support from the extended family and friends.

Characteristics of lone parent families:

Single parents have the administration of taking the conclusions solely.

This is advised as flexibility but gets very challenging most of the times.

Children of lone parents are anticipated to help their parent in running the family.

Every dwelling chore is considered with the children.

The income is generally tough to manage in a single parent homes. Most of the families dwelling with lone parent reside low on earnings and are poor.

Majority of lone parents don't receive economic up keep from the other parent.

Many of the lone parents face discrimination and disgrace because they reside solely, even if they have not chosen to do that.

These families accept a gigantic risk of losing communicate with the other parent.

Reasons that led to lone parenting

The single parent circumstances could be possible due to being ditched by the other, after end of a marriage by the other parent being jailed, death of the other parent, death due to war, alterations in marriage and cohabitation. The main difference that arises between the divorce and the death of a partner is of the mental stress and flexibility. The lone parenting due to death of the partner is natural and is considered as the uncontrollable situation and usually ends up in abnormality or other syndromes due to mental stress and pressure because parents do not prepare themselves for the big news. In contrast, the divorced parents are usually agreed to end up by signing an agreement with the mutual understanding from both the sides.

Lives of single Parents

It mainly depends on the people whether they want to become single parent, through the marriage end or due to falling in love with any other person. Whatever they decide, the life they face is really tough being a single parent. It's more like a challenge for them to cope with the situation that they create their selves. With the turbulent changes occurring worldwide, the more the competition is getting higher, in terms of earning, educating children, and the forceful laws amendments.
