Discussion

The category of snakes comes in those reptiles that give me most creepy feeling when I think about it. I dislike snakes because the forked, long and extendable fangs give me a life threatening exposure. I suffer from Ophidiophobia and even the word of 'snake' creep me. This phobia basically grounded in my childhood when the snake first attacked me at Missouri. At that time, I screamed and ran but it panicked me a lot. I did not know about what snake really look like, but I found it scary and life threatening that shook my nerves for a while. From that time, the fear of snake kept in my mind and I could not take myself out from that state. Moreover, my fear was also carried out through other family members by causing panic with the potent reptile. After realizing about the fact, I can slightly over come my fear but it has still kept its place to which I believe cannot be filled until or unless I strongly will to overcome by my own. While serving in the Armed Forces, the areas where I was deployed, was unknown especially in the countries like Iraq, Afghanistan and even Kuwait. I was always concerned that how I can overcome my Ophidiophobia. However, I only visited these 3 countries but that estimated over 3000 types of snakes, and no one can exactly say how many are out there.

It is the study of relationship between the behavior and brain, such as how nervous system and brain impacts on our moods, feelings and thoughts (Breedlove et al, 2007).
