Detrimental to the Unit's functioning

Mrs. Jackson is a dominating lady who is leading as a manager post in the nursing department. She has vast experience for many years in the same profession, so she is extremely capable to know each and everything in terms of experience. Being as a mentor she always degrade and demean their lower staff or employees very badly, which left a negative impression of her personality. Though, she has a whole responsibility to tackle all the issues of the nursing department as she has a capability to solve all the matters very easily, but she rectifies the issues by humiliating their lower staff. She was honored on some person and enhances the activity of partiality within the department which disturbs the other employees. The sarcastic and harsh behavior of Mrs. Jackson can enhance the possibilities of humiliation and partiality in the surroundings. This type of behavior always detrimental for the unit functioning because the injustice decisions cannot work for generating a good unit. Though the lady has ample experience and she can utilize it by taking good decisions rather than enhancing the activity of favoritism. This behavior can demotivate the other employees who work hard for the department, but do not receive any appreciation words (Cascio, 1991). The unit can work functionally if every decision of every employee must be honored and appreciated. Mrs. Jackson can utilize her post in an optimistic way if she approached biased methods and implement it in a very good behavior. The department can augment its position if all these steps must work accordingly.
