The paper discusses the topic from the book Audition Michael Shurtleff. In this paper I will discuss the topic of “relationship” used as one of the guidepost in the book. As in the book, Shurtleff has helped define the skills and tasks necessary to train actors in a manner that will help them transition successfully from the educational venue to the professional market.

Whether I was reading books on successful commercials auditions, acting technique or even guidance from agents and directors, Shurtleff's 12 Guideposts on Acting  always surfaced as very important acting tools.
