Dated:Abstract

Many studies have been conducted which have stated that the Australia security and economic relations with United States and china have been strengthening through trade and military support. This has also been proved and stated under the Howard government between the periods 1996 to 2007. Even though it had close ties, the relations did not bring many advantages to Australia. Howard's foreign policy towards the US and China has always been criticised. However losing two ties and relations would be detrimental to Australian trade and security. By taking all the above factors into account, ignoring minor issues would not be central issue for the Australian foreign policy. The following thesis have proved that Howard government have managed both the United States and china with dexterity.
