AVIATION

Introduction

It is because of the technological advancements that we can now reach from one place to the other one within few hours. Aviation industry is considered as one of the busiest industry in the market. Aviation industry not only deals with the design and development but it also plays an important role in the operations and production of the aircrafts that are to be operational (Russel & Taylor, 2010).

Aviation deals with the civil as well as general aviation. There is also military aviation that deals with the army and particularly air force. There are thousands of airports that are operational and many of the airports are still in the developing phase. Because of the increasing demand from the customers, better quality standards as well as new aircrafts are required in the market (Mann, R, 1992, pp. 32).

TASK 1

Aviation and Economy

In order to run the aviation industry, huge investments and government support is required. In the past years, the industry has faced many problems because of the increasing prices of the fuel. The increases in the price of the fuel ultimately have an impact on the prices of the tickets and quality of the aviation.

The increase in the prices had a huge impact in the year 2003 onwards. This is because of the global recession that was faced by the economies. The forecast for the upcoming year states that from the year 2012 and onwards, the aviation industry will be facing an increase in the prices because of the increasing price trends of running the industry.

EU policy is facing a severe problem from the security options. European Parliament had worked on the regulation in the year 2002 which was related to the development of the common rules that was related to the field of civil aviation security. The objective of that establishes was that there should be the proper implementation of the security in order to reduce the threats and appropriate compliance regarding the monitoring of the mechanism should get done. Since then, the increased security threat becomes the concern for the aviation industry (DeMerceau, 2013, pp. 44- 47).

Another study shows that EU is also facing the severe competition in the industry because airlines are trying their level hard to reduce costs in order to maintain the profit level of the industry.

The biggest challenge that the aviation industry is facing currently is related to the prices that are increasing dramatically. In order to minimize the cost, predefining of the routes is planning by the airports. Technological advancements are improving the quality of the airplanes so that the cost can be cut down. Lower fairs are important in the airline industry because of the increasing trends of the industry. Subsidising by the government can have a significant impact on the airline industry.
