Baseball over Football

Introduction

Baseball and football are the most popular sports in the United States. Although similar to some extent, both sports have some pros and cons. In this paper, we will discuss that how baseball supersedes football.

Baseball fans boast of following a sport that requires patience, intelligence, dedication and familiarity to try to understand it with no guarantee of achieving the goal. In baseball, the most rewarding is endeavors, things do not end tied even spend a week playing. Baseball has the magic and the interesting statistics. However, there are just red and yellow cards per game in football. You can play baseball every day. But in football, you have to wait for at least 3-4 days before playing again. The reason is that playing football produces a lot of fatigue in your body. Whereas, when you play baseball, there is comparatively very low fatigue in your body. As compared to football, in baseball, scores the person, not the ball. The baseball only complaint by a pitch or real aggression, but it drops to the floor pretending that hurts (Mukand, 2010, pp. 60-64).

Although football has certain advantages over baseball and most important advantage is that football is a bit cheaper sport. You can play football anywhere, in a park, on a beach, on a muddy ground, etc. The biggest advantage of baseball over football is that in baseball, there is only either win or lose. There are no draws in the baseball, as in the football. A draw in a football match usually causes disappointment. Although football is more popular throughout the world, baseball is a sport of strategy and intelligence, and teaches how to tackle challenges and hardships (Boswell, 1987).

Another very interesting disadvantage of football over baseball is that in baseball, the one who play bad loses the match. However, in football, you can win even playing badly. This is a very disappointing factor in football that sometimes you lose the match even after playing very good. It may also be the case that 'second half' of a football match ends up with a 0-0 score, but the second team wins the match in the penalty-kicks due to a very minor negligence of a player of your team (Boswell, 1987).
