Bhagavad Gita, also known as Gita is a Hindu scripture which is said to be a part of ancient Sanskrit epic Mahabharata. Gita is a 700 words scripture and because of the presence of it in the epic, it is also classified as Smriti text. It is also eminent to mention here that certain branches of the Hindu religion, that also regard Gita as Upanishad, grant it the status of Sruti, which literally means the revealed text.
