Biography of Zaha Hadid

Introduction

Zaha was born in 1950, she was born and raised in same city of Iraq i.e. Baghdad, the Iraq at that time was liberal, western-centered country, secular with a fast growing economy in which her family played a foremost role. As, she was born in Baghdad Iraq in 1950, she started her college studies at the American University in Beirut at the American University, majors in mathematics. Later on, she switched to London for her further studies in the field of architecture at the AA or Architectural Association and completed her graduated in the year of 1977. She was hired in the organization of Metropolitan Architecture. She also taught at the same institution where she was graduated which was Architectural Association. The father of Zaha was a politician, industrialist and an economist, a leader of Progressive Self-governing Parties and the co- founder of the Iraqi National Self governing. She left no such cause to be equally ambitious. After completing her schooling from convent school in Switzerland and Baghdad, Zaha joined the Architectural Association in London in 1972 (Encyclopedia of World Biography, n.d.)

Her family permitted her to discover the unique ways to do the things and think critically as she was brought up in an open- minded and liberal family. She has always given the importance to her heritages, although she was exposed to many cultures, which is the noteworthy reason of her attainments. Subsequent to all and in spite of all the hard works to devastate the reflection of the Islamic culture as Islam cannot stay narrow-minded in the contemporary world.
