This paper intends to explore about the connections between the families of Booth and Lincoln. The families of Booth and Lincoln share a connection which is apparently negative. However, both the families possess various things that can be considered common. The purpose of this paper is to make the reader aware about the underlying connection between the Booth and Lincoln family. Various unique facts that are important to connect the significance of past to the present will be explored and examined within the paper.

John Wilkes Booth shares a significant connection with the Lincoln family. John Booth being the most prominent player of the Booth family was an extremely popular American stage actor. He was the sole person being responsible for the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. The Booth family was known as being the most famous theatrical family belonging from Maryland. The Booth family was popular for their skills of theatre acting and John Wilkes Booth remained the most prominent actor and member of the Booth family (Kauffman, 2004 Pp. 81-82).

The Booth family was considered to be one of the most important confederate sympathizers being responsible for the vehement within the administration of Lincoln. The denunciation of the administration of Lincoln family was done by the Booth family. Moreover, the Booth family was also the key player of the outraged defeat by the South in the American Civil War. It is also important to realize that the Booth family and the Lincoln family shared a connection related to the reforms of slavery within the United States of America (Smith, 1992 Pp. 23-25).

The Booth family was apparently against the abolition of slavery in the United States of America. The Lincoln family on the other hand, proposed to offer voting rights to the slave. The connection between the two families in this regard is completely against each other. The Booth family opposed the proposal of Lincoln family about the voting rights to the recently emancipated slaves. John Booth being the most important and vital part of the Booth family was amongst the conspirators to kidnap and kill the main representation of Lincoln family (Fredrick, 2011 Pp. 100-125).

The connection between the Booth family and Lincoln family is recognizable because the Booth family is assumed to be behind the assassination of Lincoln. The Booth family believed that for the purpose of serving the state they need to kill Lincoln. The reasons were made confederacy and an entire plotting of kidnap and killing Lincoln was conducted. The Booth family suggested that the American Civil War was not over mainly due to the fact that the army of General Joseph was still fighting the Union Army.
