Moreover, it helps the organizations and businesses to challenge the competitors by creating and implementing unique strategies, which give it competitive edge over its competitors. The chosen corporation is Tyco; it is a US based company. The business level strategy of Tyco aims at strengthening the competitive position in the core platforms and increasing the servicer and more recurring revenues. I t is very important for Tyco that it should focus on its core competencies. Similarly, it must focus on customer service and customer satisfaction. Tyco mainly deals in the security solutions and the fire protection. There are many companies in the Us which are also dealing in the same categories (Collis, & Montgomery, 1998). However, Tyco still have maintained an edge over them. The main reason for the supremacy of Tyco is that it provides quality products coupled with greater customer care. It addressed the needs of its customers in an effective way. This strategy is very important for the long-term success of Tyco. It is a very good choice by Tyco indeed. It is because if decides to go for expansion or decides to enter into the international markets than it will not be a feasible strategy for it.

The only way in which it can handle the competition is that it must try to improve the quality of its existing products and services.
