This research proposal is based on Cannabis causing psychosis and some kind of mental illness. Talking about Cannabis, which is a product of the plant named as Cannabis Sativa. It is also more famously known as marijuana and hashish but it all depends on which portion of the plant is being used. Cannabis is widely used as a recreational drug and is taken by people after mixing it normally with tobacco and smoking. It is also taken by inhaling through a bong which is actually a water pipe. The purpose of this study is to highlight the importance and effects of Cannabis, and how does it affect the mental health of a person using it. It will also provide an analysis on the intervention of health promotion by discussing or tackling and frequently usage of Cannabis and its effects on psychosis and mental health (Patton et al, 2002, pp. 1195-1198).

The null and alternative hypothesis of this research is as follows:

Ho = Can Cannabis cause psychosis & mental illness?

Ha = Cannabis cannot cause psychosis & mental illness?
