Cardiovascular diseases are the number one cause of deaths globally. World Health Organization states heart failure, congenital heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, peripheral heart diseases, coronary heart disease and cerebrovascular heart disease as heart diseases (WHO, 2012).

Raised Blood Pressure (Hypertension) is a disease, which exists globally and affects almost every human being at a certain age. The only people who are not affected by the hypertension are the primal communities, which do not live in societies as they live isolation. High Blood pressures are often asymptomatic. An individual is diagnosed when hypertension when it comes with myocardial infarction or stroke. Hypertension kills the person silently, and it is known as the silent killer. The hypertension occurrence is based on gender, age and ethnic background of the individual. Individuals when they grow older, chances of developing hypertension increases. The survey of National Health and Nutritional Examination concluded that men have a more chance to develop hypertension as compared to women (WHO, 2012).

The occurrence of higher blood pressure happens when the pressure of blood circulating in the veins of human being increases. The pressure of blood increases alongside the walls of the heart. The pressure which is build up when the heart contracts is known as systolic and is given the first number in blood pressure reading, and the pressure when heart is pumping the blood to the body is known as diastolic pressure. Patients who suffer from hypertension do not depict any symptoms. High blood pressure do not lead to dizziness, nervousness or tension however people who have prolonged blood pressure could suffer from stroke, heart failure, disease or failure of kidneys (Nadar & Lip, 2009).

High blood pressures are diagnosed when the blood pressure of an individual are consistently 140/90. Hypertension is classifies into two major categories Primary and Secondary hypertension. Primary hypertension is also known as essential hypertension; in this case, a physician is unable to determine the exact cause of hypertension. This happens in 95% of the patients (Falkner, 2004).
