Introduction

The organizations are made up of three aspects such as resources, structure and employees. The most important thing which makes the organization effective and efficient is management of resources and workflow. The research showed that the organizations which are rich in term of resources but lacks management and planning have witnessed problems and huge loses. In this case, there is problem of planning and resources management. This report will provide background of the issues and will also identify key problems. The report will also highlight possible solutions and evaluates all available alternatives. It is always helpful to critically analyze every alternative and choose the best one. The key to analyze the alternative is to check that which alternative requires fewer resources to solve the problem effectively. The report will also provide recommendations for the organization and related personal. The basic purpose of providing recommendations is to ensure that the company will not witness same management problem in future because management issues are very costly for the company. The report will explain all above mentioned aspects in detail to give in-depth analysis of the report.

Background

The campus recruiter name “Carl Robbins” has been hired by the ABC incorporation since last six months. Carl Robbins undertook a new hiring project for Operations Supervisor name Monica Carrolls. Under this hiring project, there was a requirement of 15 new employees as trainees for the operations department. Carl Robbins made plan that the orientation for the new hire will be started at June, 15. He made this plan with intentions of having these new hire on work by July, 1. He believed that all the pre requirements can be completed in 15 days effectively. The operations supervisor highlights the requirements for new hire to Carl Robins on May, 15. In the requirements list she mentioned different things which needs to be managed and updated before the arrival of new hire employees. It includes orientation, training schedule, Manuals, physicals, policy booklets, drug tests and few other matters that need to be managed. In response to operations supervisor, the Carl Robins assured her that he will produce all the requirements in time and all matters will also be communicated to related departments effectively. It indicates that the Carl Robins has taken the responsibility of fulfilling all the requirements and now he is supposed to perform the promise. In the light of aforementioned points, it is clear that all responsibly lies on the shoulders of campus recruiter (Carsrud et.al, 2007).

Key Problems

According to case study, there are three grey areas which are expected to cause problem for orientation and training of new hired employees. The first problem that the Carl has witnessed was incomplete applications of the new hire employees. It is a fact that new joiners must provide all required documents to company before orientation and training sessions otherwise the orientations process can be delayed.
