Abstract

Universities these days are facing many different problems that are affecting the functioning, as well as, the reputation of the universities. The problems that the universities face include the basic problem of increasing costs that all the universities these days are facing. These problems need to be addressed so that the operations of the university can run smoothly. There also are problems of striking the balance between researching and teaching, changing student expectations, identity access management and measuring quality. The administration of the universities needs to be alive to their responsibilities of coping with the changes and addressing the problems that are faced by the universities so that the universities can continue providing quality education to the students in the best environment and under the best administration. These problems faced by the universities need solutions and these solutions need to be implemented on urgent basis.
