Introduction

Sector reform health forces the nurse to produce and play a positive role that allows change in the current forms of intervention in the health sector and its direct contribution to the health of the population. Nurses to be agents of change must understand the nature of social institutions to which they belong and the nature and speed of social changes that contribute significantly to change the processes of socialization organizational.

Change is the process that encompasses all activities aimed at helping the organization to successfully adopt new attitudes, new technologies and new ways of doing business. The management change effectively allows the transformation of the strategy, processes, technology and people to refocus the organization to achieve its objectives, maximize their performance and ensure continuous improvement in environment of ever-changing business.

A process of change occurs very efficiently if everyone is committed to it. Meanwhile, for people to engage, they cannot be “run over” by the process, as something distant from the same, because they are not. In truth, the change occurs through individuals. And, to be considered people as part of the process of change is necessary to know their values , their beliefs, their behaviors.

Discussion

In organizations, some changes occur for emerging opportunities, while others are projected. The term development is applied when the change is intentional and planned. Studies in nursing management is underexplored, however essential to subsidize the nursing profession by developing resources human, physical and material to other areas (www.aihi.unsw.edu.au). In this process, creativity is essential because it allows the manager to proposing projects, satisfactory results and innovating behavior individual and organizational. With innovative attitude, the manager enables development activities that pose challenges for creativity individual and collective. The acceptance of new ideas takes a break from practice pre- established, leading people to reassess their values, attitudes and behaviors and certainly lead to a process of collective realignment much more productive and enjoyable. In this sense, the manager needs to be entrepreneurial thinking organization as a whole, considering their cultural perspective and seeking alternative available for change, since the concept of development as linked to innovation and creativity. Thus, it is essential that managers are able to minimize the difficulties to which they are exposed and learn to deal with the new situation and can play satisfactorily their role in the process of system restore health (O'Brien, 1994).
