Dear Chancellor of School Board of California

I am writing this report to the School Board to promote physical activity and healthy eating in the school systems. This can be implemented by educating young people to become healthy and concerned people who can make meaningful contributions to the society

The school and community would be more educated on how to use the new food pyramid chart. This would decrease some of the problem of childhood obesity and could lead to healthier weight into adulthood. I will provide information on the vendors on how to make healthier foods more affordable for the school system and parents.

I obtained data from reliable databases on how to decrease childhood obesity, educating the School Board on healthier eating. The main purpose of my organization is to introduce such programs that motivate children to be part of that program. From that the children can learn to improve their eating habits. I will use the online search engine, FDA website, Interpreting Qualitative Data, Methods for Analyzing Talk Text and Interaction 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and ChooseMyPlate.gov to should how healthier eating and physical health will help with this problem.

I will address the school board on how to make the meals more nutritional for the children because they spend more time there. Then, with them having more education on this matter we can spread awareness and try to prevent more children falling a victim to child obesity.

Thank you for your time and consideration for my suggestion for improvement on the meals. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Charlene P. Spencer
