Introduction

Concepts are the building blocks of knowledge; they allow people to organize and categorize information. Concepts can be applied to the solution of new problems that are met in everyday experience, as we watch children in their everyday activities. We can observe concepts being constructed and used. Young children learn by doing things. Many researchers have said that learning is a very difficult process, because it is a result of own thinking and experience of children (Lew, 2006).

If we, as adults, want to acquire some knowledge, we have to do a lot of ways and channels. We can go to the library or bookstore and read what interests us. You can consult an expert in the field, get the necessary information from newspaper and magazine articles, listen to lectures, and participate in seminars. All of this requires certain skills the ability to read and study the material, the ability to express their thoughts. These skills are not given to man initially, they are acquired through experience. The young children cannot carry on a conversation at senior level and yet the problem of holding them, no less important. In further part of the paper, we are going to discuss the how young children acquire knowledge and retain that information (Kohn, 2001).

Discussion

Young children acquire knowledge through games and imagination. Game "throw the rattle" introduces babies to the law of gravity. Other games teach reincarnation and allow young children to feel like a mom, dad or a wild tiger. Imaginary twins make it possible to probe the feelings and explore various options.
