Introduction

Child development plays an integral role in developing the personality of the child as he grows up. To live a gratifying and momentous life, two areas are very important for individuals. Interpersonal relationships and intellectual capability development define the proper development of a child (Charlesworth, 2010, 18-24). Researchers are concerned with addressing the issues that lead to stimulating negative behavioural responses in child. Child experiences in early stages of life, relationship with family members, close attachment with parents, and social upbringing affect the behavioural formation of a child which defines the behavioural stimulated responses either positive or negative (Bergin, 2011, 77- 81).

Child development is distributed in multiple dimensions that differ according to context and impact on child behaviour. Numerous things simultaneously influence the mental, physical, and emotional development of the child. Child development is determined according to these three principle dimensions which defines the behavioural consequences of a child as he grows up (Berk, 2008, 31-35). All these three states interrelated to each other; lack of concern on any of this dimension affect the other two subsequently. Behavioural responses of the child are consequences of experiences he had in his early stages of life. It is essential to address the key areas related to child development that may create potential problems in normal upbringing of the child.

Psychological Development

Psychological development can be very resolute in some different modes, by discerning young children and how they answer in different situations. Children act distinctly in distinct environments and distinct phases of childhood because their temperament and character development sways how they react (Charlesworth, 2010, 18-24). Different connections between immature children and mature individuals are better renowned as an addition, which can additionally sway young children. Peers and TV play a significant function in psychological development too. All of these behaviours simultaneously are precious in comprehending cognitive development.

Observations about a Child

This observation is about a girl named XYZ, she is two years old with beautiful long blonde curly hair and blue eyes and she is my neighbour. However, she is in her preoperational stage. Most of her games consists of very advanced make believe plays. She however does some signs of early logical operations in her behaviours, her language and the way she responded to the Piaget experiences. When I walked in the house to start Observing her early afternoon, her cousin ABC was sitting down with XYZ with two cardboards and forty little pink cut squares. ABC glued half of them next to each other without spacing them. Then she glued the other half with spaces. She asked XYZ look at these cardboards, do you think these cardboards have the same amount of squares or not? I looked at XYZ while she carefully looked at both and responded that the first spacing contains more than the second one. However , before waiting for her cousins reaction she started counting, while counting she was moving her fingers along the rows , even though space one was a little harder for her ...
