Christian Theology

As far as I Understand Christian theology can be defined as the fundamental truths of the Bible and other sources recognized as divinely inspired systematically presented, or even the philosophy that comes to our knowledge of God and the relationship of God Almighty as the man, realizing everything relates to God, the Bible and God's purposes.

It is expressed basically in four major sections: systematic theology, biblical theology / exegetical theology, practical theology and historical theology. Christian theologians use the exegesis of biblical, rational analysis and argument to understand, explain, test, criticize and defend Christianity (Craigie, 2003).

Theology can also be used to certify the veracity of Christianity , making comparisons between it and other traditions and religions, critics defend, corroborate any reform Christian, Christianity spread, or a variety of other reasons. Christian theology was influential in Western Europe, especially in Europe pre-modern.

Fideism and Theology

In my opinion, Fideism is the doctrine professed by some religious, that God can not be reached by reason, but only by faith. In Christian theology, fideism is one of many perspectives. Fideism is the philosophical doctrine that asserts the primacy of faith over reason, and based on the simple belief in the truths of revelation. An essential part of fideism is illogical.

Characteristic of theistic religions: The philosophical basis of fideism often credited with the five thinkers: Montaigne, Pascal, Kierkegaard, William James and Wittgenstein, and their opponents have used the term “fideism” with a negative shade, but the philosophical ideas and writings of these thinkers do not provide sufficient grounds for doing so. There is a many species of fideism, due to the fact that the various religions and schools do not equally perceive the role of faith and reason in the knowledge of God (Craigie, 2003).
