Christianity & Islam

Introduction

Christianity and Islam are two of the most noteworthy religions since their formation. Ibang means proposal in Arabic, and a Muslim is one who submits to the will of God. Christians were called so because of Jesus title Christos, which is Greek for Messiah. Both religions are very alike with only some of the convictions and teachings being different. They also give distinct notes to outsiders as to what their beliefs stand for. Both beliefs are monotheistic with a holy text and they both strive to conquer evil.

Ibang has a set of rules (5 Pillars of Ibang) set forth to reach enlightenment while Christians fundamentally just sin, repent, and then are pardoned for their sins. Christianity is a much simpler belief to belong to because it is a alallotmentment more lenient to what you can and will not do as well as when and where you can do it. Islam is also more closed doors because they do violence not really send out missionaries looking for people to convert to Islam. For Christianity, Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah (the anointed one) Gods deliverer, whose approaching the prophets had foretold. Jesus educated the good Word of the Lord, as was his obligation as the child of God. He is furthermore said to have performed miracles such as curing leprosy and blindness as well strolling on water.

Historical Background

The victor at Lepanto in 1571, this pope who had the bravery and the energy to assemble an coalition of nearly all the Christian kingdoms against the Ottoman domain — which was advancing to intimidate Europe and had currently established dominion over the Balkans — today, accurately on account of the unhappy restoration of hostility between the two worlds — one formerly Christian, and to a certain span still Christian, and the Muslim world — appears to numerous to be an obstructing occurrence best left in the shaded (Lewis, 22)

The so-called “secularism” that would quiet all the monotheistic religions through accusations of fundamentalism, or that exalts dialogue by negating their dissimilarities, intends to blot out the age-old confrontation that has pitted the two devout communities against one another. Above all, it intends to neutralize the Roman pontiff, who has shown himself capable of blocking the Islamic advance and saving Christian civilization (Riley, 256).

Violence in Christianity and Islam

The Conflict between Christen and Islam came into being; it has clashed numerously with the already established Christianity. Their rivalry has not ever stopped until today. Modern demonstrations would be Bosnia and Lebanon. There were not only infantry clashes but political as well as economical. Although, the rivalry was incredibly strong, ironically, Arabic or Islamic heritage managed to harshly leverage the ...
