Introduction

This paper is about the poem, 'On Being Brought from Africa to America' written by Phillis Wheatley. She was the first African-American woman to publish a poem. She was sold t slavery at a very young age i.e. age of 7 or 8, which is why, her writings and poems reflect the same concept of slavery.
