Healthcare communication has a major role to play within the society. Healthcare communication is a system of communication among different stakeholders. In this system of communication, interpersonal communication plays a pivotal role. When we talk about healthcare and communication, it directs us to the connection between the patient's data and physician. Effective communication plays an important role in this type of situation as to take the patient into confidence so that panic cannot be created and positive outcomes can be seen. Efficient and effective communications in the healthcare settings is significant to both professional and personal healthcare outputs. These means helps the members of the healthcare institutions to achieve their objectives. This can be achieve only by establishing methods such as an effective leadership, effective goal clarification, appropriate behaviors and group norms, which facilitate the healthcare communications. Health communication includes the practice and study of communication strategies to prevent diseases or illness, and to promote individual and public health or quality of life. The paper aims to discuss the most effective communication modality available to the health care institutions, its importance while discussing the core issues regarding confidentiality of patient's information.

Communication has greatly evolved in the recent decade and major advancements have taken place to reduce the time and gap as well as increase the effectiveness of messages. With these advancements, health care sector has also witnessed changes in communication modalities. The most beneficial of all the mediums seems to be telephonic medium. This medium can also be synonymized with video or audio calling through the internet. With the widespread network and easy access to internet, patients can seek advices, consultancy and treatment from health care practitioners all over the world (Peter et al, 2003). The communication medium in one word can be defined as telehealth services. It allows more effective delivery of medical care to patients with restricted mobility allowing constant monitoring of the patients similar to face to face visits. Although, the medium is restricted to consultancy, yet, it offers great deal of medical advice and cure for the patients especially in the case of emergency. Telehealth services offers remote monitoring of patients in case of chronic diseases or injury rehabilitation whereby the patient is not able to physically reach the doctor and also the data can be managed electronically for specialist review or the records can be reviewed later.
When considering a communication medium for healthcare, there are certain issues that have to be addressed, pre-discussed and addressed to come up with the most effective medium.
