ABSTRACT

The main aim of this research is to find the impact of car scrap scheme on the US and Ireland automobile industry. The researcher will try to find the impact on this scheme on the sales of new cars, the sale of used cars and the economy as a whole. This research is very useful for future research. In this research regression analysis is used as a method for data analysis because there are two countries which are being analyzed. To get the best result for comparison of two variables regression analysis gives more accurate result.CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

Purpose of the Research

The benefit of car scrap age is to stimulate the demand of the cars in Ireland and us and also save jobs of those people who are losing their jobs due to recession. In the car scrap age scheme those people who had the car ownership for more than ten years can trade the car for the new car. Such kinds of schemes were implemented in many countries but it was the first time in Ireland that such a step has been taken.

Aim and Objectives

The researcher aims to find out the studies on the topic car scrapping. It is age of recycling and hence all the industries are going green and the automobile industry is one of such industries. The researcher did a lot of research on the topic and decided to stick on the industries in Ireland and United States.

Significance

This study is very important because through this research, the researcher would be able to know the impact of car scraping as factor affecting the economy of the Ireland and United States. Both the governments have taken this initiative to boost the automobile industry. By the end of this research the researcher would be able to find the extent of impact on car sales and industry both.
