This article attained the attention of many people and it is written by Peter Landesman. Peter Landesman became the controversial figure after this article was published in New York Times. This article became controversial and accused of being partly fictitious. Landesman is a producer, story writer and often writes for New York Times. For New York Times, Landesman works as an investigative journalist. He is the winner of American Academy of Arts and Letter awards.

Author's Purpose

In the first article “Girls 4 sale” Sealey presents the feminist perspective. In her writing, the chastity of the women could be easily identified. After reading the article one can easily extract the purpose for which the writer has written this article. The main purpose for which the writer has written this intriguing piece is to highlight an issue in the field of sex business and sex trafficking (Sealey, pp. 1). The issue that Sealey wants to points out through her writing skills is the usage of young and immature girls in the sex industry. The sexual exploitation is an illegal activity in which a person (mostly women or minor) is subjected to violent sexual activities without consent, by which a third party receives monetary remuneration. This offense is relevant today in all corners of the world thereby promoting trafficking, mainly teenage girls, in which networks of criminals kidnap girls and exploit them.

Summary of Supporting Content The article begins from a background and slowly and gradually comes to the nub of the topic. This article implies how websites and web pages are utilizing promotional tactics of offering cheap rates on weekends. The promotional tool that is used by such businesses is of advertising. On websites through advertising they generate and attract business (Sealey, pp. 1). While talking about this promotional tool of advertising tool, Sealey talks about girls those who are used to make these advertisements glamorous and to make the pulse and nerves of the audiences uncontrollable. This is where Sealey has identified the main issue that immature, young and teen girls are used by the sex business operators. Sealey mentions a fact about these advertisements.
