I think that for the Institute of Medicine's list of "Research Priorities for transforming Nursing Leadership."Item #4. In the discussion of the "identification of the characteristics of mentors that have been (or could be) most successful in recruiting and training diverse nurses and nurse faculty; this particular area is of huge interest to me because I have elected to specialize in nurse education. I think that in the area of developing the characteristics of nurse mentors, it is vitally important that the nurses are trained for heathcare delivery and there is need for greater numbers, better preparation and more diversity in the student body and faculty, the workforce, lifelong learning and interprofessional education. The characteristics of effective and successful nurse mentors should be analysed and recognized and those who nurse are successful and have had a good practicing history should be given an opportunity to practice their teaching and leadership skills. Commitees should be formed that word for the overall benefit of the new, young and developing nurses.

Nicole, I agree with you. Having nurses on committees is imperative for change for the future nurse. One committee that has contributed to the learning environment for nurses is the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). I believe that health education which is the totality of actions to trigger human activity in developing their own interests and learning about health, development of healthy behavior, in relation to the patient / client is often undertaken in nursing research problem. A nurse has to play a key role in all aspects of nursing practice in primary care settings in order to improve health outcomes such as family practice or clinic walk-in. In other words, nurse works with the physician to provide comprehensive care to all patients, rather than simply perform definite tasks, such as immunizations or vital signs. Professional nursing is not only a profession but is now the essential need of the society. It is very important for people as well as the professional nurses to get aware, regarding the professional attitude, attire, norms and rules. Unites States of America have developed programs regarding professional nursing at different states. These nurses practice individually and help create a healthy environment and society (American Nurses Association, 2010).

Furthermore, I have the firm believe that nursing education is not immune to these timely changes. Healthcare information is growing at an exponential rate. Technological advances are at the forefront of changes in healthcare delivery. Healthcare consumers demand skilled professionals trained using the most current educational modalities. Healthcare practitioners must be prepared to interact with increasingly complex technology, as well as alter their practice based on a mounting body of knowledge. Psychomotor skills are a vital component of nursing care. Nurses must be competent in basic psychomotor skills to ensure safe, reasonable care. However, despite the importance of psychomotor skills for nurses, much of the literature specific to psychomotor skills and the attainment of such skills in nursing education ...
