Introduction

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is famously redesigned. It is linked by the late version of the myth Faust or it can be refer to the modern myth related to mad scientists. Mary Shelley offers and invites speculation and in the last generation she has been rewarded a great deal by the society. Frankenstein is one of the greatest and finest descriptions of the Gothic novel and also suits many of the romantic novels. All these elements that comprises a story includes setting, narrative voice and character development contribute to the novel's identity as a gothic text or romanticism. My thesis statement would focus on the above mentioned description i.e. whether these story setting, narrative voice and character development contributes to the novel identity as Gothic and what interpretation Shelley's want to have on her own reader. Secondly whether Shelley has focused on regeneration of body or not and whether this concept is accepted by society and what will be there implications in our modern society. Some of the famous quotes by Frankenstein that will impact my thesis statement are

“No one can describe the difference of feelings which are inside me, like a storm, in the first courage of success. Ideal bound for me was life and death, which I have to break through, and make our dark world to shine a little. For new species I will be there source creator; many of the humanity will owe me for what they are today.” (Frankenstein, pp51)

“I am alone, and miserable; man will not associate with me, but one as deformed and horrible as myself would not deny herself to me.” (Frankenstein, pp 171)

After describing my thesis statement for Frankenstein critical analysis, in my discussion phase my work will be focusing on whether my Ho holds true or not. ...
