There are various versions of the Active directory available in the market that includes the modified version of Windows 2003 that is Windows Server 2003 R2. In addition, Windows Server 2008 and its modified version Windows Server 2008 R2 is also available. However, I will suggest that you use the most updated and latest version of Active Directory that is Windows Server R2 of 2008. The most basic rationale behind this choice is to simply offer a wide storage capacity. This I believe will play a vital role in the problem solving of the slow computers. Therefore, bottleneck and overflow scenarios in data storage can be controlled because of the high storage capacity systems (Desmond et all, 2008).

The active directory supports the Automate software provisioning and therefore integrates it into all the compliance enforcement processes. Therefore, the configuration will allow only the manager to decide the software packages, and then incorporate these packages into the systems, locate the missing software and also identifying and stopping the installation of any unwarranted software.
