Construction Labor Woes

Introduction

Labors play an important role in the construction industry, so they need to taken care of. As they are facing many issues in the construction industries and because of that this industry is facing labor shortages. But this is a crisis that needs to be solved because they are an important aspect of our society, providing us with better living standards. So they should be given more security and benefits. And the employers should give them more benefits so that they can create optimum output in the construction world. Because without them construction wouldn't be possible. We can see in this study that many researches have been on going, to make sure that these labors are not neglected in any way but the solution seems to be very hard and the fixes are very expensive according to their employers that if they increase their wages they will attain lesser profit.

Discussion

Need of more Studies for the Pay and Safety of Labors

This industry needs more studies and more concern since its lacking the focus on the labors. Because according to their point of view they have been neglected. The labors lose their lives while working and on an average in the United States four workers a day lose their lives. And specific actions haven't been taken yet in order to increase their wages that are very skillful but do not show their level of high productivity just because of the lower wages. This results in the shortage of labor that is seen by large construction industries but the industry thinks it's the other way round, they don't take this issue as a low wage problem they say they are not getting actual skilled labor, and they are just getting poor people who want to earn living.

The industry have been using tactics because they themselves are hiring people who are living in the barrios and paid so low that they are not capable of supporting their families. Because of these poverty levels of the workers they tend to quit. Research studies also portrays the need of more skilled labors and to increase the use of material and technology, improving estimated, applying strategies, migrated labors from Mexico, modularized building system. Mostly the industrialist complains of shortage of skilled craftsmen. And to increase the productivity rate they should also show concerns on their safety which is very important. Since these workers are usually immigrants and hired from barrios they have language barrier problems and are unable to communicate, but these labors have to be trained and acknowledge about the safety techniques while working. Increasing Demand of Labors

There have been studies that have been constantly showing the increase in demand of the labors because of the fact of increasing construction trade.
