Knowledge & Professional Context Authority

Person has a need to know and understand. In human civilization has always been striving for acquiring knowledge as possible "Know thyself," advised Socrates. "Knowledge is Power" Set Francis Bacon (Berkes et.al, 2000 pp. 1251-1262).

The theory of knowledge (epistemology or even epistemology) is a major area of philosophy. It includes the questions concerning the conditions for realization, the realization of knowledge and other forms of beliefs (Seidman, 2008, p. 253). It also examines what certainty and justification makes and what kind of doubt can exist objectively at what kind of beliefs (Gourlay, 2004, pp. S96-S99).

The German word epistemology was not until the mid-19th Century common than getting a praxisorientierterer, rather theory further handling of knowledge in the natural sciences broke away from the philosophical, rather theoretical (Seidman, 2008, p. 253). In dealing with Immanuel Kant (notably in the works Wilhelm Traugott Krug) the term was the beginning of the 19th Century pre-formulated (Swan & Scarbrough, 2009, pp. 913-921).

Philosophers such as John Locke and David Hume had in the 17th and 18th (Human understanding) wrote their base stations and thereby century seen through the "Human Understanding" already in a reaching back at least to the ancient philosophical tradition (Scarbrough, 2003, pp.501-516).

Knowledge generation and dissemination &acquisition

Knowledge can be made in different ways. Human knowledge about the world is constantly changing by the discoveries and studies of new (Seidman, 2008, p. 253). Historical perspective on the development of human knowledge quantitatively and qualitatively illustrates its dynamic aspect, both the exact sciences and liberal arts (Berkes et.al, 2000 pp. 1251-1262).

A personal level, knowledge is dynamic in nature. Is gradually evolving, changing and expanding throughout the human life what infancy until adulthood (Scarbrough, 2003, pp.501-516). Person's ability to acquire new knowledge improves and disappears according to cognitive development and thinking skills of his. Can be explained by the knowledge that the person allows it to cope better in order to fulfill its goals (Gourlay, 2004, pp. S96-S99).

Relationship between data, information and knowledge

To create knowledge necessary to create connections between concepts and understand how certain events or variables are interdependent or influence each other can be referred to a hierarchy among the data, given the meaning they make of information.

Information in turn can make knowledge by a person occupies the data, and processes them in the process of cognitive(Scarbrough, 2003, pp.501-516). For example, a phone book contains many characters and numbers (the data), with each record book shows the number of the person next to their name (connection makes the given information).

When a person reads this information (cognitive process), it is able to know the phone number of a friend (Royce, 2006, pp. 3-17).

Ways of Knowledge Expansion

The science is the main area of activity investigates the human race the secrets of the universe, and operation, this sense of increasing knowledge. Gathering knowledge in science is called research. The Academy is an institution that works to expand human knowledge and dissemination (Royce, 2006, ...
