Introduction

Cornel west is a theologian and a philosopher born in 1953, who is associated with “Center for African American Studies” and “the Department of Religion at the Princeton University”. He has written numerous articles and nineteen books and also editor of thirteen other books. He is also a producer of proactive and accessible work that focuses on the general audience. Cornel has been always observed of being politically active and he has slowly and gradually raised that made him prominent on being pop culture icon and a public intellectual. The first book called Race Matter in 1993 attracted the attention of public with broad reading. West was born in Tulsa Oklahoma and he was brought up in Sacramento, California and belonged to Christian Baptist family. He was also a violinist, and athlete, and a precocious student, when he got an admission at Harvard at the age of 16.

Black Rage & Malcolm X

Malcolm X expressed black rage in an exceptional manner in the history of America. The way he communicated his anger modified an audacious sincerity and a boiling urgency. The topic that he focused on was the chronic refusal that usually most of the Americans were acknowledged the sheer illogicality that deals with the individual of African dropped in this country, the nonstop assaults on black beauty, intelligence, possibility, and character. Malcolm's thoughtful commitment with the established black humanity at any cost and his incredible courage to the deal with hypocrisy of American society made Malcolm X the mystic of black rage now and then.

Malcolm X was known as the Prophet of black rage basically because of the reason he had great affection for black people. His affection was neither ephemeral nor abstract. It was his strong connection with a devalued and degraded people who needed a psychic conversion within the black people. They would consider themselves as human beings, where they didn't view their minds, souls and bodies through the white lenses and had a believe in themselves that they had the capability of controlling their destinies. In the life of Malcolm X since 1950s to the early 1960's the psychic conversion in the black people would lead to death. The black person who was proud of their own self expressing their qualities and exclusively believing in their capacity domination over white who had the capability of controlling their own destinies ended up as a strange fruit.

Basically when Malcolm X expressed his black rage, he was aware of the fact that he had to exempt himself from the sacrifice and courage that any of the self loving black needed to face the harsh consequences of being a self loving individual in the American society during that time. Malcolm X looked towards the views of the blacks and their need of freedom and they way it resulted in early deaths.
