Introduction:

Beezley is known for writing about the cultural history of Mexico, combined with life style and the ways of living of people at that time. He is professor of history at the University of Arizona, and co-director of the Oaxaca Summer institute in Modern Mexican History, and is known for his pioneering writings about the cultural history of Mexico.
