Background

Finding new customers is the most important challenge for a small business. Through publicity and promotion creative, your business can attract new customers and generate profits. As small businesses, particularly important to spend the firm in an effectively targeting the type of Customer Company wants to acquire. (Carpenter 2008, 50)

Direct marketing and creative advertising are two areas that are total opposites. It seemed appropriate to compare and analyze how creative advertising and direct marketing could be a communication tool. Indeed, we believe that advertising communication, commonly used to extol the merits of a product or brand, can bring added value to the communication. (Callcott 2009, 73)

Rationale

The purpose of advertising is to attract customers' attention and influence their behavior, usually in order to buy your products or services. It can be expensive, so it is important to ensure that you are sending the right message the right people. The complaint may be more credible than direct marketing. Increase your visibility and has a relatively low cost but requires time and effort. The techniques of advertising can be as simple as good graphics or involve targeted press releases, press information supplied, interventions and publishing articles. Community participation as the sponsorship of events or to help charities can generate a powerful return.

We often read and hear about "Marketing", but few know what it means exactly. For many owners of body shops, the term marketing is simply a synonym for "advertising", but it is not exactly this, because the field Marketing is much broader. Most of the advertising in the field of painting are oriented ads in the telephone directory or yellow pages, newspapers or in the press and consists in the brochures.
