Introduction

This paper intends to discuss an episode of Crime Scene Investigation (CSI). The underlying actions being taken by the scientists will be elaborated in this paper. This paper is meant to write an analysis of the episode providing details about the actions being taken by the scientists. A distinction between all the realistic and non realistic actions will be made in the paper. The episode chosen for the purpose of discussion is the Episode Sixteen of Season Twelve. The title of the episode is 'CSI Unplugged.' The drama starred Ted Danson who is the head of the forensic investigation unit working within Las Vegas. Other actors of the episode include Elisabeth Shue and George Eads. The purpose of this paper is to make the readers aware about the significance of CSI episodes and its underlying impact over the general public watching the episodes.

Short Episode Synopsis

The episode revolves around the kidnapping of a young boy. The entire team of Crime Scene Investigation worked hard to find the kidnapped boy. The underlying difficulties of the CSI team became more prominent when a sudden blackout shuts down the entire city. The episode of CSI Unplugged remains essentially well shot and well planned. The different instances revealed within the episode are realistic and possess the power to make the viewers attracted. There are minimum non realistic actions taken by the actors; thus making the episode more conventional. Lastly; the episode becomes more interesting after the sudden blackout shutting down the entire city (Kompare, 2011).

Episode Analysis

The CSI Unplugged episode of Crime Scene Investigation revolves around the kidnapping of Harper Riordan who is nine years old and lives with his nanny. Harper Riordan and his nanny; both were kidnapped. The basic reason behind the kidnapping was the excessive money; the father of Harper Riordan possesses. Right after the kidnap; a storm came and a huge power cut was witnessed by the city. The power cut made the situation worse for CSI to locate the boy. Henry and Hodges; important characters within the episode were elevator trapped due to the power shut down. Another character 'Nick' followed the blood drops to the corpse of Riordan's nanny. The wife of T. C. Riordan was suspected and blamed for the murder of Natalie; the first wife of Riordan. The bloodline of Harper remained a basic question throughout the episode. Further, a jewelry ransom demand made the case more complicated (Byers & Johnson, 2009).

Realistic Actions Taken by the Actors

In my opinion; all the actions taken by the actors within the CSI unplugged episode seems to be quite realistic. The search of a kidnapped boy remains interesting throughout the episode. The call to 911 and the entrance of Russell and Finn in the house of Riordan seems to be quite interesting and extremely realistic.
