The article “Information technology, cumulative causation and patterns of globalization in the Third World” discusses a lot of important factors that have influenced the current factors patterns of globalization in the developing countries. But it mainly focuses on the information technology aspect which not only includes the communication aspect but other technological aspects as well which falls under this broad category. The revolution in transport and information technology, steam navigation, wireless telegraphy, Mass Media favored the transnational integration of markets. The much-cited globalization is not a phenomenon of our day; they had been in the decades before the First World War. Be the development of German society must at least since the 1880s, always regarded in the processes of globalization, Sebastian Conrad rightly points out in his seminal study globalization and nation in Imperial Germany (2006). To study the globalization of technology must first understand that is, its meaning is then the diffusion of technology across the world, cultures, nations, crossing borders regardless of the characteristics of nations or cultures to arrive (Rezabakhsh, 2006).

James suggests in his article that the technical changes in the IT sector are a very important determinants of the growth and productivity within the countries. As a result of the globalization phenomena in terms of the economy and politics, especially arising from advancements in transport and communications, it has intensified in the intercommunication of all countries in an unprecedented rate. The almost instantaneous information of events anywhere in the world contributes to a diffusion of knowledge and expedited in every way. Now is an emerging technological revolution comparable to the Industrial Revolution of the nineteenth century.

Current technological changes present a different face. This influence not only influence the ways consumer goods are produced but massively redefine organizational and business models for market competitiveness, and even disrupt (not necessarily negative) the behavior of individuals, their relations to the labor market as a whole. The new global model directly impacts the generation of knowledge, the educational process, production processes of goods, the trade, services, and international economic relations. That is, it has expanded the frame of the production frontier and created new forms of inter subjective relations worldwide (Atkinson and Randolph, 1998).
