Introduction

In formal education, a curriculum is the set of courses and their content, offered at a college or university. As an idea, curriculum derives from the Latin word for race course, referring to the course of events and experiences through which children grow into mature adults. A curriculum is mandatory, and is based on a broader agenda that merely states what issues must be understood and at what level to achieve a particular grade level.

The curriculum covers the entire scope of training and experience that happens inside and outside of school, not just the experiences that occur at school, experiences that are unplanned and undirected, and experiences intentionally directed the deliberate formation of adult members of society. Education in Iran is highly centralized and divided to K-12 education and higher education. Education K-12 is supervised by the Ministry of Education and higher education is under the supervision of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The Fourth Five-Year Development Plan (2005-2010) provides for the improvement of the quality of the education system at all levels, and the reform of education and the development of appropriate training, continuing the trend towards market-oriented education and training work .

Primary school (DaBest) begins at age 6 for a period of 5 years. High school, also known as orientation cycle (Rahnamayi), ranging from the sixth through eighth grade. High school (Dabirestan), for which the last three years is not compulsory, is divided between theoretical manual, professional and technical, each program with their own specialties.
