Introduction

Darwinism and creationism, both are multifaceted ideas. They can be easily defined by what it excludes than what it includes. Those who believe in creationism, also believe in seven day account of creation as written in Genesis. On the other hand, people who believe in Darwinism, believe that God had a role in creation of life, but they don't know the definite role of His (Caudill, 2005).

Discussion

According to Edward Caudill (2005), Darwin's recantation myth has been sustained throughout the years because it holds great story. This story contains different celebrities, drama of death and life, hidden truths and many more. The Darwinism involves conflict between religion and science or Darwin versus his conscience. For creationist, the conclusion of the story is satisfying i.e. Christ's triumph, man was a symbol of godless science, his conversation and the reassertion of faith's power. This end has an appealing irony. The Darwin in real, had spent several years to build basis of his ideas about evolution, and devoted less time to theology (Caudill, 2005).

During a long time the controversies between creationism and Darwinism are going on in American society and are not showing any signs of ending. The subareas of creationism and Darwinism are clearly centered to the argument of religion and science. Therefore, those who believe in the existence of God, do not accept evolution, and those who believe the facts of evolution undermines the religion. There are also those Americans who believe in both God and evolution. Scientific revolution of human origin creates a gap between the beliefs in God, therefore, if the creationism receives the support of scientist, even then people cannot adjust fully to evolutionism because of their spiritual believes (Charles, 2006).
