Introduction

A denial of service attack is a type of attack to make it unavailable for an indefinite period the services or resources of an organization. This is mostly attacks against the servers of a company, so they can be used and consulted. An attack on a computer system designed to reduce or block service by legitimate users, through techniques of wasting bandwidth or memory (John.et.al, 2010).

When a denial of service is caused by multiple machines, this is called distributed denial of service.
