Background

Karim Rashid was born in the year 1960, in the country of Egypt. He is one of the greatest designer of his generation. This man has produced more than 3000 designs and have received over 300 awards. Rashid has diversified his business in more than 40 countries. He received awards on Christofle, Veuve Clicquot, and Alessi, democratic products for Bobble and 3M. In the category of furniture, he received awards on Vondom and Bonaldo. Also, He receivedvarious awards in many other categories too.

His creations varies from product to interiors such as the Morimoto restaurant, Philadelphia, nhow hotel, Berlin and etc. Rashid's creations have been introduced in 20 permanent collections. Also, his art is displayed in galleries across the globe. He is the perennial winner of numerous awards including Industrial Design Excellence Award (IDSA) Red Dot Award and etc. Rashid has been highlighting the importance of design in daily life. He does this trough attending conferences worldwide and visiting universities as a guest lecturer. He holds the honor of getting an Honorary Doctorate from OCAID, Toronto and Corcoran college of Arts and Design, Washington. He has been featuring in various magazines including Vogue, Time, Wallpaper and many others.

When Rahsid is free and have spare time then he also concentrates on art, music and fashion. His determination includes introducing creativity in virtual and physical landscape (Penlidi, 2013).

Rei Kawakubo was born in 1942 in the, country of Japan. She is a Japanese fashion designer. Also, she is the founder and creator of Comme des Garçons (Madewithjapan.com, 2013) .This company was founded in 1973.
