The main purpose of this paper is to make an analysis on the issue that if there is an effect of digitalisation in an archive on the number of individual visitors. The paper also makes an analysis about the importance of visual contact between the individual and material in the archive. The number of individual visitors to an archive get affected by the fully digitalization of the material. The importance of digitization is growing day by day. With the passage of time, digitization is playing a crucial role in the archives. There is a great role of visual contact between the individual and the archive material. Through the visual contacts, the individuals can actually get an idea about the material in the archives. The paper gives an overview about these two key points.

Digitisation has become very much important in the archives. Digital cultural heritage includes informational resources on the culture created by the digitization of information resources and traditional analog media, and materials once created in digital form. This text, static and moving images, three-dimensional images, audio files, databases, software, web pages, portals, websites, electronic publications, etc., exist in a variety of formats. Without special efforts to preserve digital cultural heritage, the volume and diversity of which is constantly increasing, it will inevitably and quickly lost (Lynch, 2005, p. 9).

There is a great effect of digitalisation on the individual number of people in an Archive. The digitalisation has the positive impact on the individual number of people. The role of digitization is gaining day by day in order to attract a number of individuals in an archive. Keeping in view the importance of digitization, the archives are converting their material into digital form. There is a growing increase of digital conversion of material. Its reach is expanding day by day, and these days almost all the archives have converted their material into digital form. The process of digitization is accessible and supportive for all type of materials in archives and libraries. It helps the manuscripts, maps, musical recordings and other moving images. In order to capture the material of archives for digitization, the archives are using different hardware and software. The digitization helps in understanding the new technologies, and proper collection of the material in archives.

It is a common phenomenon that Archives should preserve the digital material in order to have a positive impact on the number of different people (Pinfield, 2003, p. 9). Research and development in digital preservation is interchangeable in archives and libraries, in different countries. The two types of institutions are apparently using the same standards and the same tools to reach similar solutions, but further analysis shows that there are considerable differences.
