Literature Review

Barreto in the dynamic capabilities literature review, gives the following definition: The dynamic capabilities enterprise as to identify opportunities and threats, to solve the problem of the system, make timely market-oriented decision-making, and change the potential of its resource base. The characteristics of the context of this study, to catch up with the dynamic capacity is defined as the enterprise capacity in three areas like to identify opportunities and the ability to resource integration and technical ability to learn. Retain the ability to deeply understand the market and detect changes and trends in order to identify opportunities. They also have the ability to respond to detected and opportunities to reorganize and adapt (TEECE, 2007). These capabilities are called Dynamic Capabilities (DC - Dynamic Capabilities) (TEECE et al., 1997). It is a central concept for understanding the performance of companies in environments highly dynamic and the role of innovation.

It was found that the presence of organizational practices with dynamic capabilities are constrained by mechanisms and factors that extrapolated intentions, expectations, plans and skills of their own management. Found institutional factors of a political, cultural and contextual which manifested both in the internal activities as the business environment. It was observed that there are influences of institutional factors in the dynamic capabilities to understand and shape the environment, seize opportunities arising from the rapid evolution of technology and remain competitive, all embodied in organizational practices such as spreading the newspaper on schools, the dynamic discovery new technologies in the very process of order activity, the development of a new product and a new business and the convergence of print and digital media. It was also found that the presence of the legitimacy of a secular brand facilitated the companies' ability to insert into digital media. After the case study, we carried out a quantitative approach to research to see if the relationships found were happening in other companies.

On however, in highly dynamic markets, such as intensive service firms knowledge and this is not enough. Barreto highlights that it is important to maintain a competitive advantage in a context of constant change, which is only possible for companies which are constantly transformation. Companies are successful in the long run this kind of market seeking to renew their skills, reconfiguring their resources (TEECE et al., 1997; Eisenhardt; MARTIN 2000). The role of innovation and DC in service industries and knowledge-intensive represent a highly dynamic subject matter interesting and challenging. Despite the growing importance of the services sector in the economy, research in innovation in this sector is still in its infancy (LOVE; MANSURY, 2007; Sundbo, 1997). The traditional theories aimed at innovation have been developed in the context of thinking manufacturing industry.
