Introduction

E-learning, is a type of educational program and system of learning that is done through the electronic environment. E-Learning is based over the utilization of computer and electronic devices that are able to provide students with instructional material. Long distance education has set the basis for the creation of E-learning which are able to solve various issues based over time, agendas, traveling and different issues of the traditional educational system. Furthermore, E-learning also includes a wide range of tools of online education (Allen, 2006).

Discussion

The constant training is a requirement of modern societies. With all the pressures of everyday life, to enable us to use the Internet is not a fad but a tool that will facilitate this constant update.

Since the industrial revolution, distance education appears to facilitate staff expertise. And so with the advance of time, technology has always presented different options for sharing information from printed material, radio conferences, teleconferences, videos and even CD-ROMs supported by post and phone calls (Dykman, 2008).

Internet has taken a new step in the field of distance education online making it a truly unique experience. E-Learning is how to designate this type of education offered through Internet.

The support of the instructors is given via email, text chat and you, messengers (e.g. ICQ, MSN Messenger or own), discussion forums or even video conferencing (Adams, 2007).

As indicated by Seidel & Chatelier (2004), the opportunity and the challenge now is for nations to integrate computers and other advanced technologies in an integrated conceptual framework. e- Learning can provide opportunities for eliminating physical boundaries as a requirement for learning, with a great degree of promise and the early success (Allen, Seaman, 2007). The main advantages offered by virtual education are cost reduction to give courses to more number of participants in the traditional classroom, seminars and training savings highly decentralized companies such as banks and schedule flexibility, factor very important because it allows the student scheduling the course in the best way possible. Another interesting advantage is the interaction that generates courses arousing student interest and helping those shy to be the most active in classes through discussion forums and other means of participation (Allen, 2006).

There is a strong sense that educational processes must change dramatically, if for no other reason than to keep up with a rapidly emerging information-based society. The new generation of e- Learning technologies provides richer learning environments that allow interactive knowledge construction. The use of e-learning as a teaching and learning tool is now rapidly expanding into education, with thousands of courses offered ...
