Introduction

Today's society is aware of the need to incorporate culture and basic education the knowledge, skills and abilities related to the body and motor activity, contribute to personal development and improved quality of life. In connection therewith, on the other hand, there is a social demand for education in the care of the body and health, improve body image and fitness, and the constructive use of leisure through recreational activities and sports.

The area of ??physical education is geared towards developing skills and instrumental skills that will enhance and increase the possibilities of movement of pupils and students, to enhance knowledge of motor behavior as meaningful organization of human behavior and adopt attitudes, values ??and norms with reference to the body and motor behavior. The teaching in this area involves improving the possibilities of action of the students, as to encourage reflection on the purpose, meaning and purpose of the action itself.

An understanding of motor behavior cannot be isolated from understanding the body as an element present in the experience of people and integrated into the personal experience. Furthermore, education through the body and movement cannot be reduced to perceptual or motor aspects, but also involves expressive aspects, communicative, affective and cognitive. The body and the movement are in basic areas of educational activities in this area. This approach is intended to draw attention to the importance of bodily knowledge and possibilities experienced playful, expressive and communicative; to the importance of self-acceptance, feeling good about one's body and to improve it and use it effectively. Movement functions are varied and have different weight in the curriculum of physical education, according to prevailing educational purposes. These include the following:

- Built-in knowledge, to the extent that the movement is one of the fundamental cognitive tools of the person, both to know itself and to explore their immediate environment and structure. Through the organization of their sensorimotor perceptions, the student becomes aware of his body and the world around him.

- Anatomic-functional role, improving and increasing, by moving the drive's ability in different situations and for different purposes and activities.

- Function aesthetic and expressive through artistic expressions that rely on body language and movement.

- Communication and relationship function, while the person uses their body and body movement to interact with other people, not just in the game and sport, but in general all kinds of physical activities.

- Hygienic function on the conservation and improvement of health and fitness and the prevention of certain diseases and dysfunctions.

- Built-agonistic, while the person can demonstrate their skill, compete and overcome difficulties through body movement.

- Functions cathartic, hedonistic, to the extent that people, through physical exercise, stress release, re-establish their psychic balance, perform leisure activities, and thanks to all this, they enjoy their own movement and its body effectively.
