In addition to this, it is also observed that, this emerging technology has huge impacts on the entire society. According to recent researches and studies, the invention of phone technology has brought various changes in the lives of the people. It is also observed that, there have been various transformations to the phone technology since the cellular phones were introduced, during the era of 1970's. In its initial days, the cellular phones were used to convey or send information from one place to another. With the passage of time, the cellular phone companies tried to bring innovations and advancements in the field of mobile phone industry. Afterwards, they introduced smart phones. Smart phone technology played a vital role in the bringing innovation in the area of communication. In addition to this, the emerging technology of smart phones also brought various changes and ease in the lives of people, as it offers several exciting features for its users (Grauers &Wall, 2012). The proceeding paper includes the main idea and concept of this emerging technology, smart phones. Furthermore, the study also describes the main impacts of this emerging technology on the entire society. Moreover, some of the strengths of this emerging technology are also incorporated in the study.

Smart phones are considered as one the most emerging technologies of this era. It is referred as the cellular phones that are assemble on a mobile operating system, with more innovative and modern computing connectivity and capability than a conventional phone. Researches and studies shows that, these smart phones combined various exciting features including exciting applications, GPS (global positioning system) services, touch screen with high resolution, web browsers and mobile broad band and Wi-Fi supported system. These applications may greatly help the users to communicate with each other and perform their daily tasks in a more convenient and efficient way (Ilyas &Ahson, 2006).
