Empire Polo Ground

In the year 2011 on 23rd of April at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California, four major acts were responsible for a wonderful performance at Indio. This was a special US performance concert by the Big Four. All the four bands performing were somehow connected to each other in the early 1980's, when they started their careers. This enhanced the level of interest in the audiences. Each of these bands had their ups and downs in their respective careers but just before this concert, they accomplished a new structure with in their music. For some of them, the path leading to the formation of this structure was a real difficult one. This included misgivings, firing and breakups altogether throughout so many years which led to a lot of bad publicity and de-motivation for the band members themselves. But after years of experience, these bands had ample time to leave their past behind and perform together as one as they once were at Indio. These four legends included Slayer, Metallica, Megadeath and Anthrax. All four bands began their careers in United States of America.

Being a hard core fan of these bands myself, specially of Metallica I managed to travel alone through a shuttle from downtown Los Angeles, which was a very cosmological decision of mine. It cost me as much as it would have cost me if had driven there by myself. This was more than I could afford at the time but my enthusiasm and excitement led me there without thinking twice. I managed to get some sleep on the way and met interesting people as well. When I reached the parking lot, I witnessed a line of people of every age group.

They were all wearing their best heavy metal attire to represent their love for the genre and the bands performing. When I arrived on the site, I managed to attain VIP passes for the concert festival but it didn't help me much as the line VIPs was more than a mile long. The people were really excited when the gates finally opened around 2 in the afternoon. Anthrax was the first band which was scheduled to perform. The VIP ticket itself cost me $200. It however had its perks provided in the ticket including its own ...
