Ethics is a normative term that determines how the world ought to be. It talks about how a human being should act in order to be reaching his self potential. the establishment of a universal ethical system is very necessary to deciding human conduct and making the world a better place.

What is the most convincing ethical system? Why?

Normative ethics is the most convincing system of ethics. It is a branch of scientific ethics which deals with how an individual ought to be, with regard, to his moral standing. It pertains to determine the criteria for an action to be a right action or a wrong action. They deal with the essence of every deed, rather than, the deed or action itself for judging the rightness or wrongness of the action. Normative ethics is the most profound science dealing with applied ethics. Instead of committing a right or right action they emphasize on developing the inner self that is self-regulatory (Anon, n.d.).

Normative ethics provide a broader ethical sense of the criteria pertaining to deciding an action right or wrong. It has three branches, that is, virtue ethics which address the personal character of an individual, deontology, which decides the rightness and wrongness pertaining to duties of an individual and rights of people upon him, and finally, consequentialism, that deals, with the rightness and wrongness, in context of, related outcomes to an action.

The most convincing system of ethical sciences is' normative ethics'. There are three fundamental reasons for their effectiveness exceeding rest of the branches of scientific ethics, they are;

A broader ethical sense: with all three sub-roots of normative ethics, it provides a complete ethical phenomenon that deals with all ethical facets regarding an action. Normative ethics are a 360 degree science of ethics that deal with an individual's own self, his moral duties and results of an action before marking it as right or wrong

Essence rather than action: They specify how an individual should be, with regard to the world he lives in. therefore, they don't consider what has been done but the background of an action. They address the reasoning and logical perspective of an action. They are more rational and scientific rather than teaching of values. They focus on building the value system with an individual.

The necessity of universal ethical system

The world needs a universal ethical system. The establishment of a universal ethical system is essential to a better world. They lay the foundation of human conduct in a society. Ethics are a part of normative conduct which lay foundation for the right and wrong. The world needs a universal ethical system for several reasons, which are discussed as under;

Changing demands of time: the age of 21st century is age of dynamism. Where everyone is indulged in chasing his goals. The dynamism of 20th century made the world change so rapidly that people have a right to go unethical courses in order to reach their demands, ...
