Abstract

In this paper we will be looking towards promoting the mode of vaginal delivery in the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) patients that are capable of transmitting the viral infection towards the infants. This research tends to proceed by inculcating different notions related to the subject. In order to meet the pretext of the paper 6 articles were selected in order to analyse the measures which can be taken to promote Normal Birth among HIV Infected Women. The studies which were selected were based on the realties for being current and reliable. Reliable in the context of the study stands on the grounds of inculcating the participants who were indirectly infected with the phenomenon of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The articles that were inculcated into the scope of the study, proposed different measures to protect the infants of being injected by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) at their birth. Among many proposed measures, one was to inject motivation in the sub conscious of the mothers who are pregnant to start taking the medicine during pregnancy. Moreover, those who intended to get pregnant were also advised to take the medication before they get pregnant. It would be safe to state that majority of the mothers declined the use of medication only because of the health of their fetus. However, it was the relationship with the physician which helped them to formulate their mind to take the medication. Since medication only enhancers the chances of the new born to remain free from the germs of HIV. Secondary factors were also of key significance, which also reflected on the infants being diagnosed with the virus. The secondary factors inculcated the hygiene situation of the place where the new born tends to inhale their first breath. Moreover, different alternatives were also proposed in the approach this study took to decipher the measures which can promote normal birth among HIV infected women. The studies cited in the context of this research helped the research to propose different measures, like an alternative to breastfeeding. Since the chance of the newborn to get infected by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is maximum form birth till 18 months of his or her life and tends to reduce by a great deal as the child climbs up the stage of age in his or her life. Moreover, the study concluded with the idea of promoting the awareness among the women infected by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) to increase their practice of medication so that more and more children can be brought into this world are rendered as healthy and by no means is infected by the HIV. The study also revealed that the mothers, who agreed to take the medication, did all this on the basis of their responsibilities towards the fetus.
