Censorship is a technique to hide the material on websites which is found to be illegal with respect to religious and social culture. This paper aims at discussing internet filtering and its types. It also covers the detail of censorship. It has highlighted countries that are involved in light internet filtering and censorship.

Introduction

Filtering can be on a stake situation lying on each intranet level of computer on administrator's network, and internet service providers(ISPs), due to which only some users who have the access to those layers of internet that will not be proficient to view the material. Censorship will be considered on national level if the internet service is controlled by the entire state. A rising number of countries around the world connected to World Wide Web are striking requirements as an obligatory on internet service providers (ISPs) to take their users away from unnecessary material or to take away them from the things which are banned by the government.

This is the law of the natural world that everything in the world comes with its advantages and disadvantages, and it ultimately depends on the person using that particular thing that whether it turns out as something helpful or the worst as a disaster.

There is simply no denying about the fact that internet or the World Wide Web is a fabulous place for surfing and browsing about any literally anything, topic or issue related to this world or say universe. As mentioned above just like all other matters in this world internet is also not spared with the downsides. Intentionally or unintentionally surfers may come across with some prohibited or undesirable stuff present over the wide web provided by the internet. It is a very bothering and disturbing thought for parents for how to keep the prohibited stuff at a safe distance from their children because the internet provides a very convenient access to any sort of matter.
