Friendship

Introduction

When we come into this world, we are in a family where we are loved by our Parents and cared by our siblings. As soon we start growing up, we need someone beyond family, whom we can share our interests, life and thoughts. Friendship is such a divine relation in which two persons share their mutual interests, sincerity, loyalty and care for each other. Sincere and self less friendship are one of the highest attributes of the character. It helps a person understand himself in a much better way and analyze his personality and characteristics according to the observation by someone else. A loyal friend is a blessing of God, who gives us sincere advice when we are disappointed, he gives us strength when we experience crucial times he increases our joy when we triumph our success and he are always there with us when we are alone. Aristotle (384 BC - 322 BC) said “Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies” (VanderZanden et al, p. 286). To me the most beautiful aspect of friendship is the presence of a sincere person in the dim phase of life, as light in the dark.
